Julia Biłat – klassisch ausgebildete Cellistin, Improvisatorin und Komponistin, lebt in Berlin und bewegt sich zwischen klassischer Musik, Jazz, Performance und experimentellen Szenen. Sie tritt mit dem Stegreif.Orchester, Camila Nebbias The Hanged One und Fabiana Strifflers Archiotic Quintett auf. Sie hat Produktionen für das Stegreif.Orchester komponiert und co-inszeniert (zuletzt #bechange Hildegard von Bingen, 2022/23). Ihre Soloarbeit verbindet Improvisation, Komposition und Performance mit Cello, Körper und Stimme. Auftritte fanden unter anderem beim Butohpolis Festival (Warschau), Into The Open (Berlin), Artacts in Austria and Intermittenze in Italien statt.
